Tuesday 24/03/20 – Challenge of the day

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are well in our ever changing world at the moment!

Thank you to all of you who have completed activities on Purple Mash – I have really enjoyed reading your fact files!  Well done too for persevering as Purple Mash became very slow with lots of school children on it!  Keep up the good work! I am sending rewards for awesome learning so keep an eye out for these- do any of you have any yet?

I have created a class blog on Purple Mash for you to stay communicated if you wish.  To access this, you will need to log in to Purple Mash, click on Sharing>Shared Blog>Class 4 Blog. Please take the time to read the opening post before you post anything!

Answers to Mondays challenge:

Now, onto yesterdays photo challenge – did you manage to name the four European landmarks? The answers are below with their full pictures!

For todays challenge, I’d like you have a go at solving the anagrams below.  The anagrams are all famous characters in children’s books – Can you name them all?

For ICT,  I have set a To Do on Purple Mash – Use 2Go to move the bee to the flowers.
Write your instructions down- what is the shortest amount of moves you can make?
Use positional language- forward, backward, left and right.

How many of you have seen The Body Coach and PE with Joe Wicks? My children loved this yesterday morning – we’ve never laughed so much – Even our dog Loki joined in! ! He is available daily on Youtube – have fun as a family and exercise together!

If you fancy something different and some mindfulness to look after your mental wellbeing – try Cosmic  Kids Yoga – my younger two daughters tried this yesterday and they really enjoyed it! Again, lessons are available on You Tube.

I would love you to email in any pictures of you and your family exercising together – and remember – to have fun too!

You have all got TTRS to continue practising your times tables, but did you know that through TTRS you can now also use NumBots – this is a brilliant way of practising addition and subtraction and is lots of fun too!

Also, so many of you loved our topic last term on WW2 – well tomorrow – Wednesday 25th March, there is a live History lesson live from the secret WW2 bunker in Liverpool – try and tune if you are able to and further lessons will be shared via You Tube!

Remember, these activities, and any set on Purple Mash, are suggestions, as you also have your home learning packs to dip into too.

Finally, I wanted to share a picture with you of our new pups – all four are doing well – they are 12 days old, born on 12th March, and growing very well! – eyes aren’t open yet, but will be soon!! I will continue to update you with their progress!

Enjoy your learning today, however you are participating!  Take care and stay safe.
