World Book Day Thursday 7th March 2019
To celebrate World Book Day here at Crudgington School we shall be doing the following
Dress As your favourite book character
Children are able to come to school dressed as their favourite book character on Thursday 7th March.
Assembly
Each class will be choosing a picture book to focus on for the day and present to the rest of the school in an end of day assembly. (Book reviews, character descriptions, art work etc.).
Bring and Swap Books
Thursday 7th March – Children can donate books no longer needed/wanted from home and are able to swap for different books – to be held after school 3.20 until 4.20.
In KS2 playground (weather permitting) or in Class 2 (if weather cold/rain)
Other activities throughout the week
Older children will be sharing their favourite stories and will read them to younger children in the school throughout the week.
Parent/Carer Reading Sessions
Parent/Carers are invited to come into school to share books with their child for a morning session 09.00-09.15 or afternoon session 3.00-3.15 on Friday 8th March 2019.
There is a reply slip on the letters the children will be bringing home today (Tuesday 26th Feb) if you would like to attend a Parent/Carer reading session on Friday 8th March.
