Homework 1/12/17

For your homework this week, I would like you to turn the lolly pop stick you’ve been given, into a Christmas decoration for the class Christmas tree. You can turn it into whatever you like, as long as it is Christmas related. Feel free to use lots of different materials to create your decoration. Don’t forget to make sure you can hang it up. I have uploaded some pictures below for you to look at if you are struggling for inspiration.

Homework 10/11/17

Year 1:

I would like children to practise recalling their number bonds to 10. There are a variety of website and games your children can play to make this fun including:

https://www.topmarks.co.uk/Search.aspx?q=number+bonds+to+10

https://www.mathplayground.com/number_bonds_10.html

Reception:

I would like the children to practise recognising and forming numerals from 1-5. You can do a range of activities at home including; painting the numerals, modelling them out of tin foil or playdoh, spotting the numbers on car number plates or houses etc.

I have also provided a number guide for the children to trace over.

Half term homework

The children’s homework for over the half term holiday is… to have fun! Enjoy the week off and take the opportunity to recharge. It would be nice if the children could bring in a memento of something they have done or enjoyed over the half term. This could be a drawing, a photo or a souvenir. We can then share them in show and tell on the first day back.

Homework 13/10/17

Reception:

Use the word cards to play a memory game or snap. Can you read the words by sight by the end of the week?

Year 1:

In maths, we have looked at addition. Can you write the addition sentences to match the images? Can you draw images to help you calculate the addition sentences?
