During half term Christopher and Matthew undertook a charity challenge, they climbed the Wrekin 3 times in one sitting, it took just under 5 hours, they walked for 6.3 miles and climbed 1221m in height. They did it for each of their 3 chosen charities (Sightsavers, friends of PRH and Vaccinaid) on the 16th April. At 1221m it is higher than the UKs second largest peak of Snowdon.
They have so far raised nearly £700 smashing their £300 target. They researched the charities and came up with the idea themselves and are rightly quite proud but a little shy about it, they didn’t say anything in school as they didn’t think anyone would believe them.
As a school we are very proud of this amazing achievement by the boys.
