Thank you so much to everyone who came to the Gruffalo Tea Party! The children (and staff) worked very hard making the food and putting the decorations together and I hope that everyone who came, enjoyed themselves and had a lovely lunch. I know the children loved having you all join us!
On Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning, all of the children had a go at making the different party food, from Gruffalo crumble to ‘scrambled snake’ egg mayonnaise sandwiches.
To decorate the room, the children had made Gruffalo bunting and the room was set up as the Gruffalo forest. Every child led their visitor into the classroom, to take their seat. We enjoyed lots of tasty food.
There was even a competition to see who could make the best ‘owl ice cream’. Although I think a lot of them looked more like mice!
Don’t worry, I made sure the children did the washing up afterwards!
