Happy weekend!

Happy Friday Class 1!

I have had lots more lovely photos sent to me today, showing me all of the fabulous learning you have been doing at home.

Eva has been very busy this week. She has tackled the challenges I set, including making fossils and creating paper planes. She also very cleverly used her Duplo blocks to help her solve the maths challenge.

Olivia has also been very busy. She has been reading ‘Hocus Pocus Diplodocus’. Here is a video if you’d like to hear the story too:

Olivia has completed lots of the challenges I set, including writing a list of items that you would pack for a holiday and creating an alphabet strip out of letters cut from magazines and newspapers. I was also very impressed with the fossils and sliding dinosaur picture.

Amelia has created some lovely butterflies out of toilet rolls and been working hard on her phonics and maths. She completed both the Year 1 and Reception maths challenge. Great work Amelia!

Raya has been getting messy making cakes with her sister Mila. She has also been practicing reading tricky words, reading, matching and labelling body parts and filling in the animal names. She has also logged onto purple mash and tried some of the activities including labelling the pictures. Don’t forget to request your password by emailing me if you haven’t already. Keep up the hard work Raya!

Finn has been painting different letters in the garden and enjoying the sunny weather, whilst Emille wrote her own story about a mermaid.

I think after all of that hard work, you deserve a restful weekend. However, if you’re up for more fun, there is a virtual children’s party being hosted at 14:00 tomorrow on Facebook, to make up for the birthday parties you might be missing out on during lockdown.

I have also filmed myself reading the new story by Julia Donaldson ‘The Smeds and The Smoos’, as a way to thank you for your hard work this week. However, it is taking a long time to upload, so check back tomorrow if you’d like to watch it!
