Year 2:
Literacy:
This week, we have looked at the homophones there, their and they’re. For their literacy homework, children have to choose the correct ‘there’ to complete the sentence, or write 9 sentences using each ‘there’ in the correct context.
Maths:
Children have to use their skills in addition and subtraction to solve number sentences, where the numbers are represented by shapes.
Year 1:
Literacy:
To get the children prepared for the Year 1 phonics screening check, they have a list of real and alien words to read. Remind children that the alien words aren’t real words and tick or cross each word depending on whether your child read the word correctly.
Maths:
Children will need to use the number lines to count backwards to subtract.
If your child’s homework sheet is missing or lost for any reason, see me on Monday for a new copy.
Thank you.
