Hello,
I sent home a letter today, explaining that over the next two weeks, the children in Year 2 will be undertaking their end of KS1 assessments. Consequently, there won’t be any homework set over this time. However if you are looking to support your child in preparation for the SATs, it might be helpful to practise:
- Counting in 2s, 5s and 10s and recalling the 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
- The names and properties of 2D and 3D shapes.
- Number bonds to 10, 20 and 100
- Telling time for o’clock, half past and to the nearest 5 minutes.
If you have any questions or concerns about SATs, please don’t hesitate to come and speak to me in the morning or after school.
