The Queen’s 94th birthday

Good morning Class 1!

I hope that you enjoyed the story and activities from yesterday.

If you didn’t already know it, it is the Queen’s 94th birthday today. Queen Elizabeth II is the longest-serving and oldest serving monarch ever! In celebration, I thought it would be nice to base today’s activities around this celebration.

Here is a story I thought you might like. It is called ‘The Queen’s knickers’.

Can you design a pair of birthday knickers for the Queen? Be as creative as you like and try to use lots of different art materials…collage, pens, paints etc. Here is a design sheet for you:

I would also like for you to have a go at creating a 94th birthday card for the Queen. Your finished card can even be sent to the Queen if you post it to this address:

Her Majesty The Queen, Buckingham Palace, London SW1A 1AA.

Maybe host your own birthday tea party for the queen, by helping your mum and dad to make finger sandwiches and cakes. You could even create a party invitation for your party.

You might want to practise your cutting skills and create a 2d shape crown to wear to your Queen’s Birthday Tea Party.

I hope you have fun celebrating the Queen’s birthday.
