Thursday 26/03/20 – Challenge of the day!

Good morning Class – Hope you are all well today? I am missing seeing your faces every day and hopefully this won’t be for too long. Please remember to stay safe.

Did any of you go on a Virtual Field trip yesterday or take part in the online lesson from the WW2 bunker in Liverpool?  Let me know which was your favourite and why!

Thanks for those who have already sent in pictures of you exercising or completing home learning – please continue to send these through the office email address so they can be shared on our class pages like this member of class 4 and her sister who are enjoying Cosmic Yoga and PE with Joe.

For todays challenge, I would like you to have a look at the four islands below and explain which book characters would live on these islands.  The four characters are from well known children’s books – you need to look very carefully at each island, as the items give clues to each character

For topic today, I would like you to research the country Spain – what is the capital city, are there any rivers or mountains in Spain, and what about the Spanish islands – where are they? Then, complete a fact file about Spain, this can be done in your books or on Purple Mash – the choice is yours!

Also, don’t forget to visit Purple Mash – if you haven’t already – to access the learning activities and teaching support.  All work is being marked and sent back as quickly as possible.

Don’t forget to continue to read whilst at home, you have access to Bug Club where you can access many books online, as well as reading on Purple Mash too.  Or, for something different, have you thought about an audio book? The author David Walliams shares a story  every day at 11am via Sound Cloud, which can be freely accessed from The World of David Walliams website.
