Data sims available

Dear Parent/Carer,

We have a number of data sims available loaded with 30GB of data.
These SIMs fit all phones, tables, dongles and Wi-Fi devices. Whilst they cannot be used to make calls, they can be used to access the internet via your devices in the absence of WiFi.

The SIMs come with full instructions and a helpline

If you would benefit from one of these SIMs, please contact the school office and we will send one to you.

Kind regards,

Mr Ames

School Update

Dear Parent/Carer,

RE: School Update

Following last night’s announcement, I am writing to clarify some further details regarding the school over the coming weeks. Firstly, we have been able to put in place immediate provision for vulnerable children and the children of critical workers. Thank you to all the parents and carers who have contacted the school office informing us that they require a space.

Unfortunately, this morning, staff were unable to access the school webpage to upload remote learning. We are working closely with IT to ensure these issues are resolved as quickly as possible. I am hopeful that it will not cause any further disruption.

We are looking to host lessons via Microsoft TEAMS very shortly. In terms of a timeline, we will be continuing to offer work on the school website until the end of the week and will look to host some live sessions in the week beginning Monday 11th January. Due to the short notice of the closure, staff will need some time to prepare online resources ready for these sessions.

As ever, we can be contacted during the standard school hours by phone and email. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Mr Ames.

Christmas message from the Headteacher

Dear Parent/Carer,

As we come to the close of the term, I wanted to write out with an update before we break up for the Christmas holidays.

There is no doubt that this has been an incredibly challenging term. Our children have shown exceptional levels of resilience in and around the school and have followed the new routines and timetables superbly. Although we have not been able to run any whole-school activities or after-school clubs, the children have not let this dampen their spirits in the slightest.

I want to express my gratitude to all the staff members in our school. They have worked exceptionally hard to provide education, support and encouragement under challenging circumstances. They have planned home learning where isolation has been required, supported the start of our catch-up work and ensured a suitable festive Christmas atmosphere in the last week of term! The Friends of Crudgington have again been superb in their support of the school. Many of the Christmas related treats were only possible through their continued hard work.

Finally, as ever, I would like to thank parents and carers for your continued support with the modified routines in and around the school. Your assistance has helped us to keep everyone as safe as possible in and around the school site.

On behalf of the staff and governors, I would like to wish you and your family a Happy Christmas!

Please stay safe and well as we welcome in 2021

Adam Ames
