Newsletter – Friday 15th July

Posted on July 15, 2022 by Tracey Perrin

Extreme Weather Warning

The following note has gone home with the children today –

Dear parents/carers,

As you may be aware the weather forecast for Monday and Tuesday is currently showing a possible high of 36 degrees plus.  Please remember to apply sun cream to your child, supply them with a water bottle and a hat.  Children are also allowed to wear pe kits or light clothing (with sensible footwear) instead of their uniforms on these days.

In school children have access to filtered, chilled water throughout the day and they will only be allowed to play out for short periods of time – weather permitting.

We will up-date you should the forecasts show a continuation of this extreme weather.

Mr Ames

School Reports

School reports will be given out on Monday.  Envelopes will be given out in class and children will take them home.

House Point Winners

The results are in and the overall House Point winners for this year are…….. HEDGEHOGS.  As a treat they will be allowed to wear their own clothes to school on Wednesday, 20th.

Congratulations to Hedgehogs and to all our pupils for working so hard to amass house points this year.

Year 6 Leavers Assembly and Show

Just a reminder that the Year 6 Leavers extravaganza will be taking place on Thursday, 21st July, commencing at 9.30 in the school hall.  The event will last approximately until 11.00 am (depending how many encores the actors get!)

Friends Total

We would like to announce that over the last year The Friends of Crudgington School have raised a phenomenal  £5477.51

This money has gone towards Reading books, Christmas Presents for the children, Cinema trip, PTA Insurance, Globes for Classes, End of term treats- Sweets and Ice Cream, Random Acts of Kindness day, New starter Gifts/ Gifts for Volunteers and Community supporters, Y6 Leavers contributions- The Edge, Drama Play and £100 cash.
